Deer. We live in a place where they appear just about every day; coming by to graze, pass through, and sometimes even to rest. They are bold, yet cautious – seeming almost as curious about us as we are about them. Sometimes they stop and stare, and other times they dash away. It can be a challenge to coexist with these creatures – especially when it comes to sharing the road. But, we watch out for them as best we can and enjoy having them around. If you do a quick search on the meaning or symbolism of deer in the Bible, in dreams, and elsewhere, you find words to describe them like gentleness and strength; peace and grace to name a few. From I’ve observed, those are pretty accurate. Here are a few images of our gentle, strong, peaceful, graceful friends.
