Summer Morning at the Park – New Jersey Family Photographer

A few weeks back, I got to spend a pretty summer morning at the park photographing this beautiful family. With every session I do, I feel so incredibly blessed to get to meet and work with such wonderful people — and this time was no different. Through the warmth and the sunshine of that early summer day, the little ones were just as sweet and smiley as a photographer could hope for. Big Sis is little natural on the other side of the lens — her poses made me grin. And, Baby Sis is a happy little doe-eyed bundle with a smile as big as the sky. Mom and Dad are pretty great themselves :-). Thanks so much to all of you for letting me capture a few special moments for you. Here are a few highlights from our session:

Giant Smiles & Lots of Laughs on a Crazy-Windy Day | New Jersey Family Photographer

I couldn’t help but grin as I worked through the images from my super-fun, extra-windy photo session with these familiar faces not long ago. Of course, you always hope for great “photo shootin’ weather.” Sometimes your wish comes true, but other times, you just have to go for it, even if conditions are less than ideal. This was one of those “other times.” We somehow managed to dodge the wind long enough to get some nice shots with mom, dad, and their silly, sweet little man, who is surely destined for stardom! He has a smile as big as the sky, strikes a pose like he’s been modeling his whole life, and is overflowing with joy, laughter, and personality. I just adore these guys and am happy to get to capture moments like these for them:

Precious Girl Exploring the World – New Jersey Family Photographer

Last week, I had the chance to work with another truly lovely family, and what a joy that was. In addition to meeting new, awesome people and capturing special memories for them, one of my favorite parts of family sessions is watching the little ones explore. This sweet, wide-eyed little girl just loved running free at our location, stopping only to dance to the music coming from the wedding reception taking place nearby and/or to examine the wonder of her surroundings. She could have spent hours examining magical things like pebbles and leaves, even blades of grass. What a world it would be if we could all take the time to see and appreciate the wonder that is all around us – and dance – like she can. Here are a few highlights from our session:

Beautiful Family. Blustery Day. – New Jersey Family Photographer

It’s been a few months since I’ve had the opportunity to hold a family photo session. In spite of my starts and stops, I just love it, and I am always so grateful to get behind the camera whenever I get the chance. What a joy it was to get back to it with these guys – a lovely, fun couple and their adorable, two-year-old, little trooper. Though you might not be able to tell from the photos, it was quite a chilly, blustery day when we went out for our shoot. The little star of the show would much rather have been cozy at home after his long day, I am sure. He hung in there, though, and gave us plenty of awesome smiles – especially when Mom and Dad made him giggle and when he spotted an airplane flying high up in the sky. But the fun really began when his two cousins arrived to share the spotlight with him for a little bit. Cold and wind aside, it was a fun time in the park. Here are a few highlights:

Our Not-So-Little Kiddo: Head Shot, Portrait Photography

Many budding photographers have little kiddos at home, offering endless opportunities to practice their photog skills. As I have written in the past, our kiddos are not quite so little anymore – but the other day, I finally had the chance to take one, my stepson, out for a shoot. And, well – in my humble opinion, awesomeness ensued. It is quite possible that some of these images could spur this guy into a new career in modeling and/or acting, and I am just thrilled to have been able to be able to photograph him. Modeling/acting or otherwise, both of our not-so-little kiddos can do anything they set their minds to, and we are excited to see where their paths take them. (Now, if our other not-so-little kiddo and their darling dad/my darling husband would sit for me, my world would be complete :-)!)098v2web243web 🙂
